181. “Denner Family History.”
From John R Denner, great, great, great grand son of Sarah Hadley Duryea Lyons:
”She (aunt, Erma Ellen Denner) told me that she knew her great grandmother, Mary Jane Duryea (1839-1920).  Mary Jane had told my aunt (1901-1987) that her grandmother, Sarah Hadley (1796-1876), had been married twice.  The first marriage was to Abraham (Ruliff) Duryea and the second marriage was to Issac Lyons.  The only document that I have that would indicate the marriage is the 1870 census (Detroit, Michigan) that records Sarah Hadley living with her son Abraham Duryea (born 1819).
My Aunt Erma (1901-1987) Parents were John H. Denner and Bessie Gertrude Ross Denner.  She had a terrific memory and gave me a lot insight on the family. My Aunt was 22 when my Father was born. She was the oldest child and my dad was the youngest child of John H. Denner and Bessie Ross.”
