Ellwood geneology. Issac Ellwood was a farmer living near Ft. Plain,
Montgomery County, N. Y. He was often referred to as General or Surveyor
Ellwood. He maried Magdalena Schnieder (Synder) and had 6 sons and 4
daughters. His will was probated on 4 March 1813. Isaac Ellwood was a
Corporal in Clyde's Regiment, Drefendorf's Company, Tryon County Troops
during the Revolutionary War. He was wounded in the shoulder at the
battle of Oriskary, N. Y. and was a pensioner.
