1. The Roller-Hermes family structure was originally written down by Robert Yagley Sr. (1927-2012) and was compiled by Robert Yagley Jr. circa 1974.
Immigration
• In 1880, Michael Roller immigrated alone to Detroit, circa 1880 (ie. no known family members such as parents, siblings, cousins, etc.).
• Michael Roller had a brother who settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin per Robert J. Yagley Sr.. The 1909 Detroit City directory lists an 'Otto Roller' who boards at the home of Michael Roller.
• Maria Emma Hermes immigrated with family members to Detroit, 1881.
Origin Location in Germany
Michael Roller was from near Berlin (per verbal information from Leona Roller Yagley). The exact village may be Rixdorf, a village that was named Neucolin in 1912. Further research is required to verify this.
