Family Projects Overview
Robert Yagley
Introduction
PROJECTS
A base family is established for each project. For immigrants who arrived in America during the 1800s, the base family centers about the immigrant. For families who were in America before 1800, a base family is picked based on the availability of earliest historical records.

PROJECT CONTENT
The base family was researched for the entire family structure; parents, all children, all marriages, etc. All descendants of the base family are researched and documented. Often, other family members also immigrated; there is rarely a case where a single family member emigrates alone. The ancestral origins of the base family are also researched and documented.
Some research documentation include:
1. Immigration records
2. Church records
3. Census records
4. Vital records (i.e. marriage, death records)
5. Family histories
6. Family photos
7. Military records
8. Obituaries

PROJECT ACTIVITES
Each project involved compiling the collected research data into a book. Many family descendants were invited to participate in some aspect of the book development; there are many co-authors and additional researchers listed for each book. A limited number of books were printed and distributed to family members. Many books have been donated to the genealogical library of FamilySearch.org. The goal was to share the research as widely as possible, both now and in the future.

PHASE 2 ACTIVITIES
In phase 2, I continue additional research and methods of documenting. My goal is to make as much data widely available, to as many people as possible.
Some of the places I have shared my research data:
1. FindAGrave.com website (Free).
2. Ancestry.com website ($ Paid subscription).
3. FamilySearch.org website (Free).
4. Geni.com (Free)
5. RobertYagley.com (Free)
